About us

Kiev Charitable Organization Childhood Cancer Foundation “Krab” - was founded by parents whose children were treated at the Childhood Cancer Department of the National Cancer Institute. Children from all overUkraineundergo the course of medical treatment here.

The goal of the Foundation is that to provide multisided support to the Children’s Department of the National Cancer Institute, doctors, patients and their families as well as informing the public about childhood cancer. During our children’s treatment we literally “lived” at this Department and personally faced all nuances of treatment. For the sake of our children’s commemoration we long to relieve burdens of those who are fighting with this problem now. The Foundation regularly conducts actions to improve living conditions at the Department, provides individual support to families, publishes childhood cancer related materials for parents, as well as renders assistance to doctors by purchasing required materials and equipment.

Since 2008 the Foundation has been a member of International Confederation of Childhood Cancer Parent Organizations (CCI).

Since 2011 the Foundation has been a collective member of “Ukrainian Palliative and Hospice Care League”.

In July 2012 the Foundation was included in the Public Council at the Ministry for Health of Ukraine in the Commission on Philanthropy in the field of health care.

In March 2013 the Foundation was given the Special Award in the National Contest “Charitable Ukraine” for “Development of Philanthropy inUkraine”.
