Charitable Organization Childhood Cancer Foundation “Crab” - was founded by parents whose children were treated at the Childhood Cancer Department of the National Cancer Institute. Children from all overUkraineundergo the course of medical treatment here.

The goal of the Foundation is that to provide multisided support to the Children’s Department of the National Cancer Institute, doctors, patients and their families as well as informing the public about childhood cancer. 

Since 2008 the Foundation has been a member of International Confederation of Childhood Cancer Parent Organizations (CCI).

Since 2011 the Foundation has been a collective member of “Ukrainian Palliative and Hospice Care League”. 

In July 2012 the Foundation was included in the Public Council at the Ministry for Health of Ukraine in the Commission on Philanthropy in the field of health care.

In March 2013 the Foundation was given the Special Award in the National Contest “Charitable Ukraine” for “Development of Philanthropy inUkraine”.  

Foundation Founders:

Lavrenyuk Larisa Nikolayevna /DOB 05.03.1971/, higher pedagogical education, a son /YOB 1993/. May 2003-March 2005 – stayed with her younger son at the Children’s Department of the National Cancer Institute. On May’9 2005 the boy died at the age of 3 years and 10 months. In June 2005 she organized the parent support/assistance group at the Children’s Department. Metropolitan Vladimir awarded her with the order of Rev.Nestor the Chronicler. By the Federation of Women for Peace in the World Larisa was awarded as “Woman of the year 2010” in the nomination “Woman – Public Figure”. At the Olympic Flame relay race during London-2012 Olympics she was as a torch-holder from the Samsung Company.
