31 October 2020

Halloween is the Scottish contraction of the English "All Hallows' evening", and of course in Scotland they pronounce this word in a different way. This, long time ago, was the name for the All Saints' Eve, celebrated on October 31, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day. Тhe tradition on this day is to don a carnival costume and have a party, and kids are begging for a treat. We are deprived of a party this year but we are all for allowing kids to have a treat. Today,  we are having cupcakes with pumpkin cream, fruits, and marshmallow from Iryna Omlenytska, and honey-and-confiture set with biscotti from Mariya Vertihel! Bon appetite, and remember your relatives who are no longer with us.
